What KidMantis is

KidMantis is an educational play environment intended for children of approximately ages 5–12, designed to be used with the involvement of a parent or caregiver. It is provided as a static web application that runs in your browser and stores all progress locally on your device.

Educational support, not a guarantee

KidMantis supports practice in early reading, writing, mathematics, science, reasoning, creativity, social-emotional skills and digital safety. It is a supplement to — never a replacement for — teachers, schools, therapists, medical professionals or parental guidance. Switik makes no guarantee of specific academic outcomes, grades, diagnoses or assessments of ability. KidMantis's content is produced by the KidMantis team and has not been reviewed by credentialed educators; no alignment with any educational standard or curriculum is claimed.

Local data and your responsibility for backups

All progress and creations are stored only on your device. Clearing browser data, uninstalling, device loss or device failure will erase them. A backup can be exported at any time from the Grown-ups area; keeping backups safe is your responsibility. Switik holds no copy and cannot restore lost data. There is no cloud recovery.

Leaves and WB Coins are pretend

Leaves and WB Coins are fictional play rewards. They have no cash value, cannot be purchased with real money, cannot be sold, transferred or redeemed, and exist only inside KidMantis on your device. They are not a financial product and are not cryptographically secured.

Free to play, no ads

KidMantis is free to play right here in your browser — no account, no ads, and nothing sold inside it. Switik never asks for or stores payment details.

KidMantis contains no advertising, no links that market products to children, and no purchases inside the game — Leaves and WB Coins are pretend, and a child can never spend real money in KidMantis.

Availability (for parents)

KidMantis is free to play in your web browser. We may release KidMantis as a downloadable app in the future. If we do, the browser version will be retired and this page will point you to the app. We can't guarantee the browser version will stay available indefinitely. KidMantis has no accounts, no ads and nothing is sold inside the game. Switik does not receive your child's profile, progress or creations: they are stored in this browser, on this device. The web host processes ordinary technical requests when the page loads, as the Privacy Notice describes, and a backup you export is yours to keep or share.

Children's creations belong to your family

Drawings, stories and tunes made in KidMantis belong to the child and family who made them. Switik does not receive, publish, sell, analyze or use them in any way — they never leave the device unless you export them yourself.

Intellectual property

KidMantis is part of the ThinkMantis family, published by Switik. The KidMantis and ThinkMantis names, the Switik name and logo, Weetik & Beetik, and the app's own artwork, audio, text and code are the property of Switik. Third-party components included under their own licences are not — the Baloo 2 typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License, and its licence text ships with the app at assets/fonts/OFL.txt. Some pictures are drawn by your own device from standard Unicode characters and belong to whoever made your device's font. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial family and classroom use. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative products from the app or its characters without permission.

Any third-party names that appear inside the app's pretend reward shop are the trademarks of their respective owners, used only to describe the pretend item. Switik does not set out to reproduce any third-party logo, badge or product design, and claims no affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from any such owner. KidMantis also includes third-party components used under their respective licences: the Baloo 2 typeface under the SIL Open Font License, and pictures your own device draws from standard Unicode characters.

Supported use

KidMantis is designed for current versions of major browsers on phones, tablets and computers. After the first load it can work offline. Features that depend on your device (such as its built-in voice, or available storage space) vary by device and are outside Switik's control.

Changes and updates

Updates may add or adjust content and features. An update never intentionally deletes local progress; the app is built to migrate saved data forward. These terms may be updated; the version and date above always identify the current terms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KidMantis is provided “as is” without warranties, and Switik is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of locally stored data. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law grants you in your place of residence.
